Reversing Infertility

Q. My spouse and I have this problem... It’s kind of embarrassing.
A. About sex?
Q. No, the sex is good, but... we’d like to start a family, and it just isn’t working. We’ve gone to Western doctors, we’ve even considered fertility clinics, but they’re really expensive. Can you help us?
A. Possibly. It seems as though Nature has some fundamental rules which we need to get right, in order for the pregnancy to start, and to be successful.
Q. Things like....
A. To start with, it’s very important that both parties, especially the woman, be eating for good nutrition. Some so called “primitive” tribes, far away from our modern medicine, make VERY SURE that their young women have been eating nutritious foods, not only DURING pregnancy but even in the several months before she conceives. Good nutrition is REALLY important, above and beyond just taking a Wal Mart multivitamin.
Q. Gee, and I suppose I should know that, ‘cuz I grew up on a farm, and my father made certain that the nutrition of the “moms to be” was as healthy as possible. Makes sense!
A. Yes, we suggest organic food whenever possible; the levels of pesticides tend to be lower in organically raised food, and many folks say the taste is better. With better taste often comes better nutritional value.
Q. I’ve heard stories about whether soy products are healthful for men. I thought soy products were safe...??
A. The dangers of soy for men are said to be a result of high levels of the female hormone estrogens that soy and soy-based products apparently contain. Soy is said to affect the quality and concentration of a male’s sperm, especially if taken in large quantities or if the subject was exposed to high levels in the womb. A recent study at Harvard University showed a correlation between men with low sperm counts and a high intake of soy foods.
Q. In addition to eating right, what else should we watch?
A. You’re already aware that the Planet is pretty dirty in many ways. Heavy metals such as lead, arsenic and mercury can be a problem. Water from some farm wells in SW Minnesota has been shown to contain high levels of arsenic, apparently from the soil. Have your water supply tested to be sure.
Q. Should I be drinking bottled water?
A. Be wary of water in some plastic bottles. Plastics made from polycarbonate resin can leach bisphenol-A (BPA), a potent hormone disruptor. BPA may impair the reproductive organs and have adverse effects on tumors, breast tissue development and prostate development by reducing sperm count. Glass bottles are safer in that way.
Q. Seems as though your clinic really cares about our health. Do you have therapies which can help us with infertility?
A. Much of what we do can be helpful to get the process started. Let’s look at acupuncture as an example. Chinese doctors have known for centuries that acupuncture improves fertility. Recent clinical studies at the University of Adelaide and in Denmark confirm that acupuncture improves the success rate for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in many women. The Denmark work found that the pregnancy rate nearly doubled when acupuncture was added to the IVF process.
Q. How does acupuncture actually work? How can these very fine needles affect my health so gently but powerfully?
A. Acupuncture fertility works in this way. Often there are obstructed movements in the meridians that run throughout the length of the body. These obstructed movements cause swelling up of energy in some parts of reproductive organs while others get deprived from such energy maldistribution. Acupuncture works by placing needles on these blocked sites and stimulating the nervous system to release chemicals to the reproductive organs. This releases the required amount of energy to help resolve infertility in both men and women.
Q. Wow! Are there other tools you use for these kinds of problems?
A. Indeed! We also practice hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can be very helpful in resolving psychological issues which may be causing unresolved stress to either sex. Sometimes these psychological issues or emotional blocks arise as a result of early experiences or attitudes resulting from sexual abuse. Hypnosis may even help to clear issues arising from the birth process or even before birth has taken place.
Q. Is there even more?
A. Yes, there is a therapy sometimes called “acupuncture without needles”. It is a group of methods referred to as “Emotional Freedom Techniques” (EFT), which means just that: Freedom from emotional stresses. We now know that emotional stresses can contribute to all manner of physical problems, including infertility. One young woman with whom staff worked was apparently infertile due to stresses associated with her job as a salesperson, stresses with her relationship in their new marriage, AND stresses with money. We were able to identify the existence of these stresses with the aid of hypnosis, and to vastly reduce her reaction to the stresses with the aid of EFT. When these stresses were resolved, the woman became pregnant, and now has a cute little baby boy!
Q. There IS hope for us!
A. Of course! There ARE alternatives! A wholistic approach can frequently solve health issues for which the frequently piecemeal approach of western medicine is not very effective.
  • Acupuncture can bring miraculous changes to men and women suffering from infertility. It aids in providing regular flow of blood to the reproductive organs and instantly stabilizes the hormone levels, which in turn increases ovarian function in women and rapid sperm production in men.
  • Reports say that at some 90% of women undergoing acupuncture get relief from infertility problems, polycystic ovarian syndromes, excess pelvic pain and severe intercourse pains. Even 86% of men have been relieved of unusual reproductive problems with the aid of acupuncture. Infertility and acupuncture go hand in hand!
